Protect your recording before leaving

A take in the open page is not yet a file safely stored on your device.

Who this helps: Anyone using Studio

Bring: Camera/microphone permission, available device space and a place to save the file.

Follow the workflow

  1. Enable the camera only when ready. If permission is denied, use the browser’s site settings to review camera and microphone access, then retry. Camera-free rehearsal remains an option.
  2. Make a short test with visible movement and speech. Stop and wait for the preview. Check that both picture and audio were captured.
  3. Choose Download or an available save/share action. A requested download does not prove success. Locate and open the actual file on your device.
  4. Only confirm “I saved this file” after verifying it. Keep takes live in page memory; closing or reloading can lose them. Do not depend on browser history to recover a recording.
  5. When starting another take, choose keep/save, discard with confirmation, or cancel deliberately. Preserve an unsaved take before changing pages or troubleshooting.
Worked example · illustrative, not a reported result

Verification sequence: download → find file in your device’s Files/Downloads location → play beginning, middle and end with sound → return to Studio and confirm. File extension depends on browser support; universal MP4 is not promised.

Before you move on
  • No frozen picture in the saved file.
  • Audio present.
  • Every take you need saved externally.
Common problem and recovery

If saving fails, keep the page open and retry or use an available share action. Do not clear, discard or reload the only copy. Physical iPhone camera compatibility has not been certified by this website.
