Follow the workflow
- Rehearse without the camera first. Use 150 words per minute only as a starting estimate, then adjust to your actual delivery. The prompt is time-paced, not listening to your speech. Stop and adjust between takes if it runs ahead.
- Frame your face near the lens and put the reading area close enough to avoid large eye movements. Check light, audio and the background. Do not record while driving or doing a task that needs your full attention.
- Enable the camera when ready and make a short test recording. Play it with sound. A live preview is not proof that the resulting audio/video file will work in your browser.
- Record a complete idea. Stop and wait for the preview before starting another take. Review the file. Keep, discard or cancel deliberately; cancel should leave the previous take alone.
- Download your chosen take. Open the saved file from your device and confirm the beginning, middle, ending and audio work before marking it saved. Keep the app page open until that check is complete.
Worked example · illustrative, not a reported result
Illustrative rehearsal: a 225-word script is about 90 seconds at 150 WPM before extra pauses. If your read takes two minutes, shorten the script or use a slower prompt setting rather than forcing a hurried performance.

- Test the device/browser you will actually use.
- Save externally before navigating away.
- Check the file type accepted by your destination platform.
Common problem and recovery
If the camera is frozen, stop and preserve any unsaved take first. Check permissions and retry the live camera. Do not reload a page holding your only recording.
